Danielle Denise Davis was born in Houston, Texas. A product of the Houston Independent School District, she attended Garcia Elementary, KIPP Academy, Burbank Middle School, and The High School for Engineering Professions at Booker T. Washington. Upon graduating High School, Danielle went attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. An active student on the campus of SHSU, Danielle joined a plethora of organizations, but remained on the Dean’s List every semester of her undergraduate years.  While at Sam Houston, Danielle took up Accounting as a major and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2006. Immediately after completing her B.B.A., she began the Masters Program at Sam Houston State and in the summer of 2007, Danielle became the first KIPP student in the school’s history to graduate with a Masters Degree.

In 2010, Danielle became the first KIPP Alum member to serve on the KIPP Houston Board of Directors. Danielle loves to give back to the community and volunteers as often as she can through events and organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Habitat for Humanity, The Houston Food Bank, Junior Achievement, The Mademoiselles Conference, and many more. One of her favorite quotes is, “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no one can sincerely try to help another without helping themselves.” She believes that with God all things are possible!
